Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 August 2026

This is a plain-language policy written by the site owner. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer.

The short version

CalcDome has no accounts, no sign-up, no newsletter and no contact form. We do not ask you for your name, your email address or any other personal detail, and there is nowhere on this site to give us one. The numbers you type into a calculator stay in your browser.

What the calculators store

Calculator inputs are kept in two places, both local to your device:

  • The address bar. Your inputs are encoded into the page URL so you can bookmark a scenario or send it to someone. Anything in that URL is visible to whoever you share it with — that is the point of the feature, but it is worth knowing before you paste a link somewhere public.
  • Your browser's local storage. So a calculator remembers your last entries when you come back. The keys are pool-conversion, pool-salt, pool-volume, pool-pump, vehicle-allowance, vehicle-mileage-vs and aircraft-421-ownership.

Neither is transmitted to us. Clearing site data for this domain in your browser settings removes all of it, and using a private window avoids it entirely.

Hosting logs

This site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel records standard request information — IP address, user agent, the page requested and the time — for delivery, security and abuse prevention. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you.

Analytics

This site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count visits. It is deliberately the least invasive option we could find:

  • it sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device;
  • it assigns no persistent identifier, so you are not tracked from one visit to the next or across other sites;
  • what it records is aggregate — which pages were viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, which site referred it, and what kind of device it was.

That is enough to tell which calculators people actually use and which are ignored. It is not enough to identify you, and we could not single out your visits even if we wanted to. Because no identifier is stored on your device, this requires no consent banner. Vercel's privacy documentation is at vercel.com/docs/analytics/privacy-policy.

Advertising

CalcDome is free and intended to be supported by advertising. No advertising scripts are running yet — the ad areas on calculator pages are empty placeholders that load nothing.

When advertising is enabled, it will be served by third-party networks such as Google AdSense. Those networks may set cookies or use device identifiers to select and measure ads, including ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites. That data is collected by the advertising network under its own policy, not by us. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and control personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com.

Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland will be asked for consent through a consent management platform before any personalized advertising cookie is set. See our advertising disclosure for how ads relate to the calculator results.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is generally nothing for us to retrieve or delete. If you believe otherwise, or you want to raise a privacy question, write to hello@calcdome.com and we will respond. Requests about advertising data held by an ad network need to go to that network.

Changes

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above changes with it. Material changes — particularly turning on advertising or analytics — will be reflected here before they take effect.
